Delve into Tasmania’s convict past with a visit to World Heritage-listed Port Arthur. Start your day with a visit to the lush rainforest of Mt Field National Park, Tasmania’s oldest National Park, and the location of the spectacular three-tiered Russell Falls. Greg Duncan has hand-carved a series of scenes into panels commemorating those who have shaped the area’s past and present. Today there is the opportunity to discover this picturesque city on your included activity. After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your homebound flight, ending your tour in Tasmania.

Complimentary Airport Transfers
Airport transfers are only available on the first and last day of your trip and at times are designate. Transfers outside these times will be at your expense and must be secured by your own arrangements. Passengers who have purchased selected pre or post hotel accommodation and airfares will be provided airport transfers to/from their hotel in the tour start or end city only, on the day of the pre or post accommodation booking.
No refund will be given for unused transfers. If you miss the pre-booked transfer, you will be responsible for making your own way to the Tour departure point, at your own expense. Airport transfers may be group transfers scheduled to coincide with multiple flight arrival times.

Bookings within 110 days of departure: If your booking request is within 110 days of departure we require full payment before we can send requests for any unconfirmed items. If your booking request is unable to be confirmed you will be refunded the full tour cost paid less any credit card fees charged. Please note that no flights are to be booked by you unless your booking request has come back confirmed from our office.
What clothing should I pack?
- Casual sportswear for daytime that can be mixed/matched/layered
- Jumper/warm jacket/gloves/hat/scarf for cooler mornings and nights
- Comfortable walking shoes with rubber soles for good grip
- Sunglasses and sun hat
How much luggage can I bring?
The luggage allowance whilst on a tour or cruise is one suitcase with a maximum size of 76 x 53 x 28 cms (30 x 21 x 11”) and weight of 20 kilograms. You may also carry a small backpack or overnight bag. Additional bags beyond the luggage allowance may incur additional charges and are to be settled directly to the hotel or as required.
Handling and porterage of your luggage (as per the luggage allowance above) is included in your tour.
Health and fitness details prior to travelling?
We strongly recommend a visit to your doctor and dentist prior to your tour. If you are aged 70 or over at the Tour Departure date you must provide us with a doctor’s letter confirming you are fit and healthy enough to take part in the specified tour including reference to the itinerary, destinations and tour departure date. You must advise us of any pre-existing medical conditions that might reasonably be expected to increase your risk of requiring medical attention, affect the normal conduct of the tour and/or the enjoyment of other tour members. You will be required to fill in our Health and Fitness form and hand it to your Tour Director on the tour departure date.
Fitness level do I require to travel?
If you have a disability or other special need, provided you are able to care for yourself or are accompanied by a companion capable of providing all the assistance you require. Please note that although we will use reasonable endeavours to provide you with all the activities on your Itinerary, depending on your disability, you may not be able to participate in every activity and the Tour Director will have the right to refuse your participation if the Tour Director believes your health and safety or the health and safety of other passengers may be impacted by your participation. You must advise us of any disability, medical condition or dietary requirement at the time of booking.

Are your tours suitable for pensioners aged 76 and 84 ?Yes, Tasmania tours passengers range from children to adult who are 90 years of age.
Transfer By Public Bus In Tasmania
Do you have any tours on offer during June, July or August ?Due to our off season of winter, no Tasmania tours operate during the months of June, July or August. The season starts in September and ends in May each year.
Is accommodation the night after the tour ends included in the price ?No, this accommodation will cost extra.
Is accommodation the night previous to the tour departure included in the price ?No, this Tasmania accommodation will be an extra cost.
Where is the meeting point for the start of tours ?The pick up is at the “before tour accommodation” hotel listed in the TRIP NOTES tabs of the specific tour you are looking at.
Do I need to arrive before Day 1 of my tour ?Please refer to your specific tour and look in the “Trip Notes” information where it may state this: You need to arrive any time the day prior to Day 1. If this is the case we can organise airport pick up and pre tour accommodation on your behalf, this will be an extra cost.
Other tours start late in the day on Day 1 so you can arrive that morning which will avoid the extra nights accommodation cost.

How do you calculate the number of days for your Tasmania tour ?If you are doing a 4 day tour commencing on April 8th, the first day of the tour is and includes the 8th, plus 9th, plus 10th plus 11th and the tour ends on April 11.
Do your tours operate over Christmas and New Year?Yes – this is one of our most popular and busiest times
Are airfares from my home town included in the cost of the tours ?Airfares to and from Tasmania at the start and finish of your tours are extra.
Do you have short tours that include Bruny Island ?No tours include a trip to Bruny Island, however many people add this on as a day trip from Hobart either before or are after their multi day tour.
Does the price include The Spirit Of Tasmania ship fares ?The 11 Day Tour to Tasmania includes the Ship costs one way.
