1 Arrive Launceston, Beaconsfield (D)
On arrival, you’ll transfer to your hotel In Launceston. Enjoy a picturesque journey following the Tamar River. Visit the gold mining town of Beaconsfield, and take a guided tour of the Mine and Heritage Centre. Enjoy canapés and a Welcome Drink at the James Boag’s Brewery Before a welcome Dinner at your hotel.

2 Launceston, Bicheno (B, D)
Drive through northern Tasmania’s wine-producing area. At Bridestowe Lavender Estate, enjoy a guided tour of the distillery and sample the unique lavender-inspired fare. Traverse Weldborough Pass and stop at East Coast Natureworld to meet a Tasmanian devil before continuing to the seaside town of Bicheno, where you may like to see the fairy penguins.

3 Freycinet National Park, Richmond, Port Arthur (B, D)
Travel into Freycinet National Park to enjoy a walk with a naturalist guide. Discover the historic heart of Tasmania in Richmond, home to the Richmond Bridge. On the way to Port Arthur, see how nature and time have created spectacular rock formations such as the Tessellated Pavement and Tasman Arch.

4 Port Arthur Historic Site, Hobart (B, D)
Embark on a guided tour of the Port Arthur Historic Site, once Australia’s most notorious convict prison. Join a cruise around the Isle of the Dead and hear haunting stories about the convicts buried there. Later, travel to Hobart and tonight, you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner overlooking the waterfront at Customs House Restaurant.

5 Hobart, Salamanca Market (B)
A fantastic array of art, handicrafts, food and oddities awaits you today at the Salamanca Market. Housing over 300 stalls, the market has an array of goods on offer. From tantalising Tasmanian gin to hand-crafted jewellery, you’re sure to find some whimsical souvenirs to take home. Alternatively, you might like to take a thrilling cruise along the rugged Bruny Island coastline (additional costs approx $225 per person).

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward flight.

Any flights referred to are at the clients expense and not part of this package. Arrival and Departure transfers are included on first and last day or if booking pre/post tour accommodation listed hotel.
First Day – Passengers with flights arriving between 8.00am-12.15pm will be transferred from Launceston Airport by crew. If flights arrive outside these times please book the external transfer. If you arrive after 12:30 pm afternoon activists will be forfeited.
Last Day – Passengers will be transferred from Hobart Hotel to Hobart Airport with an external transfer.

Complimentary Airport Transfers
Arrival transfers are included on Day 1 of your tour. Return transfer is included on the last day of the tour. All flight information must be given provided at least 45 days prior to your departure date. If this information is not received we are unable to guarantee the transfer.
Pick up or drop off can only be arranged when accommodation is booked at selected hotels at the time of booking your travel, however there are some restrictions that apply to some tours in regards to the number of pick up and drop off options.
Any flights referred to in the itinerary are at the client’s expense and are not included in the land content price.

Bookings within 110 days of departure:
If you would like to book within 110 days of departure, full payment is required before we can send requests for any unconfirmed items such as hotel rooms. If your booking request is unable to be confirmed you will be refunded the full tour cost paid, less any credit card fees charged.

Travel packages are sent to you 2-3 weeks prior to your departure, provided full payment has been received.
This depends on the destination and varies between 38 and 48, however for some destinations it is necessary to user smaller vehicles to travel around the destination. Clients are generally 55+, however these tours do get a full range of ages travelling.

Tours are generally not too physically demanding, however you will need to be able to be mobile, and if not mobile, must be travelling with a companion who can assist. There are specific tours where a good level of fitness is required so please refer to the ‘Prepare for Your Trip’ information for each tour.

- Comfortable and light casual clothing for touring
- Comfortable footwear, good walking shoes is recommended.
- A warm jacket is recommended.
Generally the allowance is a 20kg bag, plus a piece of hand luggage, however some tours have further restrictions, so please refer to the specific restrictions of each tour.

Are your tours suitable for pensioners aged 76 and 84 ?Yes, Tasmania tours passengers range from children to adult who are 90 years of age.
Transfer By Public Bus In Tasmania
Do you have any tours on offer during June, July or August ?Due to our off season of winter, no Tasmania tours operate during the months of June, July or August. The season starts in September and ends in May each year.
Is accommodation the night after the tour ends included in the price ?No, this accommodation will cost extra.
Is accommodation the night previous to the tour departure included in the price ?No, this Tasmania accommodation will be an extra cost.
Where is the meeting point for the start of tours ?The pick up is at the “before tour accommodation” hotel listed in the TRIP NOTES tabs of the specific tour you are looking at.
Do I need to arrive before Day 1 of my tour ?Please refer to your specific tour and look in the “Trip Notes” information where it may state this: You need to arrive any time the day prior to Day 1. If this is the case we can organise airport pick up and pre tour accommodation on your behalf, this will be an extra cost.
Other tours start late in the day on Day 1 so you can arrive that morning which will avoid the extra nights accommodation cost.

How do you calculate the number of days for your Tasmania tour ?If you are doing a 4 day tour commencing on April 8th, the first day of the tour is and includes the 8th, plus 9th, plus 10th plus 11th and the tour ends on April 11.
Do your tours operate over Christmas and New Year?Yes – this is one of our most popular and busiest times
Are airfares from my home town included in the cost of the tours ?Airfares to and from Tasmania at the start and finish of your tours are extra.
Do you have short tours that include Bruny Island ?No tours include a trip to Bruny Island, however many people add this on as a day trip from Hobart either before or are after their multi day tour.
Does the price include The Spirit Of Tasmania ship fares ?The 11 Day Tour to Tasmania includes the Ship costs one way.
