Overview
Full Day Tamar Valley Wine Tour
Our most popular Tamar Valley Wine Tour is a relaxing full-day tour and is inclusive of delicious lunch and a complimentary glass of wine.
The Tamar Valley is only 30 minutes from Launceston and is home to the world’s biggest jumping pillow, beautiful gravel beaches, ancient (colonial) graffiti and and a museum where 13 million ounces gold was mined. Travel along the longest navigable estuary in Australia.
For the Full Day Tour, we pick you up from your Launceston accommodation. You are then personally driven to each vineyard in our comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle by a fully accredited, friendly guide. We normally visit at least five vineyards of various styles and sizes on this tour, but you set the pace.
At the vineyards, you will have the opportunity to meet & engage with the winemakers and cellar door experts. You are able to take the experience home and purchase wines at each of the vineyards we visit. Freight to your home can be arranged if you wish at the end of your journey. All your wine tastings and lunch are included in the price of this tour. Following your day out, we will drop you off at your Launceston accommodation.

2 Day 2: Launceston to Hobart (B, L)
This morning, get to know this northern vibrant hub, known for its food and wine as well as its culture and nature, with an informative city circuit tour. This is followed by a visit to one of the region’s premier tourist attractions, the Cataract Gorge. Here you can take a ride on the world’s longest single span chairlift, or for the slightly less adventurous, take a walk over the swinging Alexandria Bridge whilst exploring the gorge at your own pace.
You will then head south and across to the east coast where you’ll stop for lunch and wine tasting at Craigie Knowe Vineyard, the east coast’s oldest vineyard. After lunch and a drive south, visit Barilla Bay Oyster Farm to sample some of the freshest and plumpest oysters in the world! Here you’ll have a chance to check out their shop which sells their famous homemade Ginger Beer, fresh scallop pies, fresh prawns or even some Candy Abalone.
Arriving into Hobart at your accommodation, you’ll love the warmth of this 1874-built sandstone mansion situated right in the heart of historic Battery point. Settle in or go out and explore. The night is yours at leisure.

This afternoon, you’ll board your coach for a tour of Australia’s most southern city. This will include a stop at the Cascade Brewery, Mt Nelson Lookout and the Tasmanian Royal Botanical Gardens.
