  • 1 Hobart, Freycinet (L, D)

    Be met on arrival in Hobart and transfer to your luxury lodge at Coles Bay on the edge of Freycinet National Park, famed for its rugged natural landscapes and pristine sandy beaches. Saffire Freycinet is a highly-awarded resort with a sublime day-spa and exquisite culinary offering, which you will sample this evening during a special welcome degustation dinner paired with premium wines.

  • 2 Freycinet , Wineglass Bay, Cape Tourville (B, L, D)

    Today after breakfast, set out on a guided walk admiring Freycinet’s stunning coastal scenery of pink granite cliffs and white sand beaches as you head towards the Wineglass Bay lookout. You may also like to walk along the Cape Tourville track and boardwalk to the lighthouse which offers sweeping coastal panoramas and views back to Wineglass Bay. There will be plenty of time to relax and indulge at your luxury lodge, enjoying included lunch and dinner.

  • 3 Maria Island, Hobart (B, L, D)

    We farewell Freycinet this morning and travel down the coast to the town of Triabunna where we’ll board the ferry for the short crossing to Maria Island. As you leave the coastline, famous for its painted cliffs, watch out for seals and dolphins in the crystal clear water. Spend time exploring the pristine island and learn about its history as a former convict site. This afternoon, continue on to Hobart and check in to the Henry Jones Art Hotel where you’ll enjoy a special dinner.

  • 4 Hobart, MONA (B, L)

    Today head off for the fascinating MONA (Museum of Old and New Art) by fast ferry. Enjoy time to wander the eclectically bedecked halls and galleries. Discuss the art experience over lunch at The Source restaurant, which is part of Moorilla Winery, located on the same site as MONA. Afterwards visit the winery’s cellar door for a tour and tasting. This evening, enjoy dinner at your leisure.

  • 5 Hobart Port Arthur (B, D)

    Today explore the Port Arthur Historic Site, Australia’s most intact, evocative and notorious convict prison. See the famous sandstone penitentiary then visit the Convict Church and Separate Prison. The tour also includes a cruise around the Isle of the Dead during which you’ll hear haunting stories about the convicts who are buried there. Return to Hobart this afternoon. This evening, be treated to a special farewell dinner at Mures Upper Deck, a Hobart institution that stretches along Victoria Dock. This iconic restaurant is known for its freshly caught local seafood and spectacular harbour view.

  • 6 Salamanca Markets, Depart Hobart (B)

    Spend the morning at Hobart’s famous and colourful Salamanca Market before transferring to the airport for your onward flight.

Additional Information

Complimentary Airport Transfers

Most of itineraries commence with a transfer from the airport, or a meet and greet on Day 1. Please ensure you allow plenty of time for flight delays, so you do not miss the start of your tour.


If you choose to fly in a few days prior to your tour commencing and explore independently you will be advised of a time and location to meet the tour group.

If booking pre tour accommodation with an exclusive tour itinerary, you will receive both a transfer from the airport and on Day 1 of the tour to join your fellow guests.

If you book your own pre or post accommodation, then transfers are not included.


Flight Information

  • First Day – Passengers with flights arriving between 9.30am and 1.30pm will be transferred from Hobart Airport by crew. If flights arrive outside these times please book the external transfer.
  • Last Day – Passengers will be transferred from Launceston Hotel to Launceston Airport with an external transfer.

Bookings within 110 days of departure:

If you would like to book within 110 days of departure, full payment is required before we can send requests for any unconfirmed items such as hotel rooms. If your booking request is unable to be confirmed you will be refunded the full tour cost paid, less any credit card fees charged.

Travel Documents

Travel packages are sent to you 4-6 weeks prior to your departure. Certain information may be required to help finalise your booking. This package will include an itinerary, luggage tags, name badges and travel wallet. Name badges supplied are with a magnet backing. For passengers with a pacemaker, please advise so that we can ensure that you receive a pin name badge.


Group Size

Our clients are generally 50+, but more than age a positive attitude is important in a group situation. Ages can be as diverse and varied as the sites and attractions you will see on tour. The minimum age is 7 years, on our escorted coach tours


Optional Experiences

The must-see and must-do experiences in all their tours but also offer you the ability to customise your tour with a selection of Optional Experiences. Details of Optional Experiences available will be sent with your final documents.

Fitness Level
Most tours require a reasonable level of fitness to be able to walk on sightseeing trips, navigate along uneven ground and should be able to walk unaided for up to 1.5km.

It is your responsibility to carry any medication you require for the tour’s duration and consult your local medical practitioner for any health advice.


Seat Rotation

To allow everyone the opportunity to enjoy seats at the front of the coach, there is a seat rotation policy. This means that everyone changes seats daily during the course of the tour, and also means that you have the opportunity to meet new people throughout your journey.

Dress Code

  • Smart casual is acceptable
  • Comfortable and light casual clothing for touring
  • Comfortable footwear, good walking shoes is recommended.
  • A warm jacket is recommended.


Luggage Allowance

Each passenger is entitled to take one piece of luggage that does not exceed 160cm – length/height/width (63 inches), weight limit 20kgs (44 pounds), plus a piece of hand luggage. Alternative arrangements should be made for forwarding excess baggage to the final destination prior to commencing your holiday.


  • Are there concession discounts?
    Pensioners (Australia or New Zealand) and Seniors Card holders (Australia) save with our concession discounts on selected tours. Ask our friendly team which tours you can get a discount on.
  • Are your tours suitable for pensioners aged 76 and 84 ?
    Yes, Tasmania tours passengers range from children to adult who are 90 years of age.
  • Transfer By Public Bus In Tasmania
    There are two Public Bus companies that operate between Hobart, Launceston, Devonport and other places inside Tasmania. You can see these here: Redline Coach and Tassie Link. Redline Coach also does airport to hotel transfers.
  • Do you have any tours on offer during June, July or August ?
    Due to our off season of winter, no Tasmania tours operate during the months of June, July or August. The season starts in September and ends in May each year.
  • Is accommodation the night after the tour ends included in the price ?
    No, this accommodation will cost extra.
  • Is accommodation the night previous to the tour departure included in the price ?
    No, this Tasmania accommodation will be an extra cost.
  • Where is the meeting point for the start of tours ?
    The pick up is at the “before tour accommodation” hotel listed in the TRIP NOTES tabs of the specific tour you are looking at.
  • Do I need to arrive before Day 1 of my tour ?
    Please refer to your specific tour and look in the “Trip Notes” information where it may state this: You need to arrive any time the day prior to Day 1. If this is the case we can organise airport pick up and pre tour accommodation on your behalf, this will be an extra cost.

    Other tours start late in the day on Day 1 so you can arrive that morning which will avoid the extra nights accommodation cost.

  • How do you calculate the number of days for your Tasmania tour ?
    If you are doing a 4 day tour commencing on April 8th, the first day of the tour is and includes the 8th, plus 9th, plus 10th plus 11th and the tour ends on April 11.
  • Do your tours operate over Christmas and New Year?
    Yes – this is one of our most popular and busiest times
  • Are airfares from my home town included in the cost of the tours ?
    Airfares to and from Tasmania at the start and finish of your tours are extra.
  • Do you have short tours that include Bruny Island ?
    No tours include a trip to Bruny Island, however many people add this on as a day trip from Hobart either before or are after their multi day tour.
  • Does the price include The Spirit Of Tasmania ship fares ?
    The 11 Day Tour to Tasmania includes the Ship costs one way.
