Prices & Dates
1 Launceston to Cradle Country (L, D)
You will be collected either from the airport or your hotel in the heritage city of Launceston at 9 am, by one of Tasmania’s dedicated local chefs and taken out for a briefing over a hot coffee at a local cafe. From there we will whisk you off to the town of Sheffield, famous for its stunning world class murals, light show and the gateway to the Cradle Mountain National Park where we will start the visit to a handful of Tasmania’s finest local producers.
Then it is off for lunch at a private and exclusive location, prepared by the incredible Naomi Parker. A multi – course, seasonal lunch including matching wines, followed by a private tour by the property with the owner. Then we head out for an afternoon sampling black truffle, saffron and free-range chicken like you never knew existed.
Later that day we let you settle into your delightful accommodation at Glencoe Country Stay while you decide if your stomach can take any more locally freshly prepared produce with a private chefs dinner cooked just for you.
One of the most impressive stops on the tour is the tiny town of Sheffield. Here you will be taken to Mural Park where an annual world class mural competition is held each year, bask in the beauty of the 140 murals painted on the walls of the town. Of course, there are a few local producers that we want to introduce you to here as well. Art, cheese and wine, anyone?

2 Cradle Mountain (B, L, D)
Today’s focus is on the beautiful wild places in Tasmania. After a fresh, delicious breakfast we head off to the imposing site of Cradle Mountain, its jagged peaks dominating an area of extreme beauty. Here you will take a guided trail around the Cradle Mountain National Park and it is simply stunning. Walking through thousand-year-old forests, your guide will pick out areas that only the locals know about, showcase the tranquil Dove Lake and of course the imposing peaks of Cradle Mountain itself. Add to this your luxury hamper lunch or if weather permits
a private indoor dining experience, filled with the best of Tasmanian seasonal local produce and you have yourselves an outstanding day out. Then later in the day it is back to your accommodation for another night around the fire pit, listing to nature with the back drop of a volcanic mountain from your seat of the arm chair.

Watch the workers at the House of Anvers work with real couverture chocolate in the old skilled way (not mass factory) plus this is the first stop on day 3. From there we drive to Ashgrove Cheese and not only watch the cheese being made but sample and go through their recent 4m upgrade showroom. Depending on guests departure times we either drive straight to the airport or call into Deloraine for lunch then through to the airport for drop off.
