16-Day Tasmanian Discovery small group solo and seniors travellers tour, we’ll take you through some of Tasmania’s most iconic destinations, immersing you in the landscapes and experiences that make this island so unique.

Our journey begins in Hobart, where you’ll soak up the vibrant atmosphere of Tasmania’s capital city. Wander through the bustling Salamanca Markets, brimming with local crafts and gourmet treats, and take in the panoramic views from the summit of Mount Wellington.

From there, we’ll venture to the west coast’s Strahan, a quaint village steeped in history and surrounded by untamed wilderness. Embark on a serene cruise along the world-famous Gordon River.

Next, we journey north to Cradle Mountain before arriving in Stanley, a charming coastal town dominated by The Nut, an ancient volcanic formation offering spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Relish the fresh coastal air, explore historic streets, and savor some of Tasmania’s finest seafood.

In Launceston, the gateway to the north, we’ll immerse ourselves in the city’s heritage and natural beauty. Explore the stunning Cataract Gorge, a hidden gem just minutes from the city.

As we travel east, we’ll arrive at St Helens, home to the mesmerizing Bay of Fires. This pristine coastline, with its crystal-clear waters and orange-lichen-covered boulders, is a photographer’s dream.

Continuing to the charming seaside town of Bicheno, we might encounter the iconic Tasmanian Devil or the adorable penguin colonies before marvelling at the natural beauty of Freycinet National Park, home to the world-famous Wineglass Bay, a crescent of white sand and turquoise water.

Visit Port Arthur, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you’ll step back in time and uncover stories of resilience and hardship amidst the hauntingly beautiful ruins.

As we circle back to Hobart, we’ll make stops to indulge in Tasmania’s artisanal chocolates, visit a Lavender farm and admire the spire of Australia’s oldest Catholic Church from beneath the arch of Australia’s oldest stone bridge that is still in use. Tasmania, fondly known as the Apple Isle, truly offers something for everyone—stunning scenery, fascinating history, and unforgettable experiences.
